• Diving as a Wedding Anniversary Celebration, Part 1…

May (2008) marked 16 Years for Andrew and I! 🙂 It does not seem like it has been that long.

    To celebrate, we went diving!

No, it was not a plot to finally be rid of me either 😛 We are starting our certification for Advanced Open Water and went for our Night Dive on May 25, 2008.

The Ocean is a whole new world at night! When we turned out our lights as part of the certification objectives, it was an eerie experience to only have the sense of feel and “taste”. If you got disoriented, it would even be possible to lose the sense of direction and which way was up.

Most of the usual fish that are seen during our daylight snorkel and diving trips pretty much hide at night (or sleep), and a lot of other creatures come out in their place. I saw a lot of Regal Slipper Lobsters like the one in this picture:

  • OK…Call me slow; but I will eventually get there…

Besides…why should I ‘rush’ to my grave?

First; the not so slow part is that this week’s photo contest is ‘Feet’ at iliveinmycamera and there are oodles of them to gander at.  So many that we may even be looking at another week that is split into two weeks thus giving us a chance to vote twice on the same ‘subject’   So don’t miss your opportunity to vote for your favorite ‘feet’!  I entered my attempt, too!

Second (and the ‘me slow’ part); On May 8, 2008, AngelAware Tagged me and I missed the rules because I did not visit her site in time and then I didn’t read through her site far enough to see what I was supposed to do
    …But now I know what I am to do…

The Rules for the ‘Three Random Things…’ Tag Game:
    1. Post 3 random things about yourself,
    2. Link to the person who tagged you in your post,
    3. Tag at least five other Bloggers,
    4. Let those Bloggers know that you have tagged them by commenting on their blog with an invitation to participate.

    So here it goes

    Three random things about myself that is not already known by Xanganauts;

    1. I LOVE taking pictures!!!!  OK…many of you may have guessed this if you have been visiting my site; but what you may not know is that I got my start in my Photography addiction when I was stationed by the Air Force in England for two years.  I bought my first Film SLR Camera right after I got there and proceeded to take rolls and rolls of Photos…Now, I have my Digital SLR and I take twice as many photos as I used to…but I still get about the same number that are really worthy of sharing
    2. My husband grew up in Portland, Oregon and I grew up in La Grande, Oregon (mind you these towns are all of 5 hours apart); and we met in England while we were both stationed there.  He is the one that spurred my addiction to Photography!  I always knew I would meet my soul mate overseas – I just didn’t know he would have grown up so close to me
    3. MMMMM…  …OH…AND, I got the name Gadget Gypsy because I roam through all the newest Gadgets (computer and electronics) as I can obtain them by honest methods – meaning when I have saved enough from my pay check to purchase them or they have been put on some outstanding sale

AngelAware was the Xanganaut that tagged me and I feel privileged to have been included in the game now that I have caught a clue

As far as tagging five other Bloggers, I only have two true friends on Xanga, so far and one of them is responsible for my playing this game (and I am thrilled to have been thought of)! So, since I am unclear as to whether we can tag the ones who tag us or not, and if I ever get enough friends gathered here, I will finish parts 4 & 5 of this ‘tagging’ in the future…Stay Tuned for this and I hope MUCH more!

Angel; I hope you are subscribed and reading!

    Mahalo nui loa!
